Festival 2023
CASANDRA: International Theater Festival dedicated to women, in its VII Edition in Miami.
From March 18 to 26 of this year, theater lovers have an appointment in the City of Miami, at
the Sandrell Rivers Theater, American Museum of Diaspora, Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts
Center, Koubek Center, Havanafama Theatrical Company, Cubaocho Museum & Performing
Arts Center and Artefactus, with this new Theater Festival dedicated to women.
It was created and sponsored by the company Ingenio Teatro, with the support of the Miami-
Dade County of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, and the State of Florida.
The purpose of this Festival is to create a space for exchange between women who make
theater in different countries, languages, and cultures. Through staging, dramatized readings,
master classes, concerts, and presentations of books and magazines, the creative process is
fostered based on the imagination of the participating actors, musicians, writers, and plastic
artists.
Countries like Canada, Cuba, Colombia, Spain, Portugal, and the USA will be present at this Vll
Edition.
Tickets are already on sale, and the proposal is the perfect opportunity to see quality theater
and share unforgettable evenings with renowned artists and teachers who will meet in the city
of the sun.
