Desnudos en el bosque
Desnudos en el bosque is a free version of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, written by Raquel Carrió and Adyel Quintero, directed by Lilliam Vega and performed by El Ingenio Teatro. With this production, the company opened the 10th Casandra International Theater Festival, dedicated to Women, on March 14, 2026.
Synopsis
Macbeth, a Scottish general, receives a prophecy from three witches that he will one day be king of Scotland. Driven by ambition and the influence of his wife, he murders King Duncan and seizes the throne. Guilt and paranoia lead him to commit more murders, turning him into a tyrannical ruler, until finally he and his wife die, victims of their own ambition.
