Jorge Luis Álvarez

A graduate of performing arts at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana, he debuted as a film actor with the starring role of a girlfriend for David, of Orlando Rojas, one of the biggest public successes of Cuban cinema. Together with prestigious actors such as Hanna Schygulla, Charo López, Fernando Guillén, Gian María Volonté, Ana Belén and Daisy Granados, she worked in the movie Tirano Banderas and in the miniseries I rented to Dream. His participation in wet feet, dry feet, of the Cuban-American Carlos Gutiérrez, Transparent Woman (episode Laura), of Ana Rodríguez and verses stolen, of Orlando Rojas, complete the list of his cinematographic protagonists.
During his theatrical development in Cuba he was a member of the Rita Montaner groups and the Ventana.
On the boards, he has starred in more than 20 theatrical productions in Cuba, in Spain (country to which he moved in 1993) and in
United States (where it resides since the year 1995). From 2008 to 2010 he was part of the Avante Theatre, which he joined to give life to Calixto de La matchmaker and where he also participated in other productions such as barren and cold air. With WIT has participated as an actor in looking for a DJ, blood weddings and a Streetcar called Desire and Hamlet.
